We’re excited to be hiring a Publicity Manager in our TV division - a newly created role ideal for an experienced PR professional looking to join a thriving team ready to build on rapid growth in the sector. This is a full-time position in our television publicity division, working from our offices in Central London, and the successful candidate will become an integral part of our management team.
Multitude Media’s slate includes drama, comedy, factual entertainment, documentary and entertainment formats, from established series to brand new shows. We work with the biggest to the newest production houses in the industry, international organisations and all manner of releases. The role will report directly to the Managing Director and manage the Multitude Media TV division – a small but rapidly growing, hugely talented team. Strong and creative planning in the delivery of publicity campaigns across our slate is imperative no matter if it is a one off programme or an ongoing project with one of our retained production companies.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record gained at a senior level in TV publicity and will boast an existing and diverse network of media contacts in the UK, from editors and journalists to network and personal PRs, agents, production companies and talent, and be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the media landscape with a keen editorial eye. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in delivering first-grade work by thinking laterally, finding pragmatic and dynamic solutions to creative challenges and always tailoring campaigns in order to deliver the most effective results.
The Publicity Manager will represent both the company and client interests at a senior level. The day-to-day remit is varied, ensuring the delivery of wide-reaching programme publicity campaigns, working with the Managing Director on corporate communication matters, maintaining excellent industry-wide working relationships, and supporting growth of the TV division in seeking out new relationships and opportunities.
Candidates must possess at least four years experience working in TV publicity, and be able to provide examples of recent campaigns on which they have led.

We work with some of the most prestigious production houses in the industry on a retained basis and on a wide range of projects, with recent TV campaigns including Fleabag (Two Brothers Pictures/BBC Three/Amazon), First Dates (Twenty Twenty/Channel 4), Bounty Hunters (Cave Bear/Sky), Pls Like (Shiny Button/BBC Three), Eat Shop Save (Shiver/ITV) and Cheat (Two Brothers Pictures/ITV)
Ideal Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including ability to write crisp, clear and lively press releases
Ability to prioritise and handle multiple agendas
Sensitivity and diplomacy, particularly when dealing with talent and members of the public as contributors
A high level of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain credibility and effective working relationships with and influence a wide range of contacts - journalists, senior management, editorial staff, talent, etc
Proven track record gained at a senior level in TV publicity including experience of crisis and issues management and wider public relations skills (print, events, exhibitions, opinion former activity etc).
Strong evidence of creative achievement, with dynamic ideas and the ability to think laterally, finding pragmatic and creative solutions to issues
Record of success in leading and motivating a team
The ability to lead and to generate creativity, to implement innovative press and PR ideas and deliver to tight deadlines
Excellent news and editorial sense and judgement
Knowledge of Multitude Media’s clients and of the wider broadcasting industry is an advantage
A wide network of contacts, media and other key influences is an advantage
Strong IT skills, with the ability to adapt to new systems and programmes
Overarching responsibilities of the role include:
To manage Multitude Media’s TV division, including overseeing programme publicity campaigns alongside ongoing corporate PR work
Manage relations with a wide range of senior stakeholders
To support and advise as required on communications and stakeholder issues alongside the Managing Director
Generate innovative ways of increasing favourable media coverage and identifying new avenues to add in to campaigns
Sign off on key components of work including press releases, final campaign summaries and other appropriate communications
To provide strong reputation and issues management working in close conjunction with the Managing Director and senior stakeholders across both client and corresponding network teams
Overseeing the co-ordination of press days/screenings/launches and briefings, previews, handling requests for interviews and when needed, face to face audience engagement/activity
To motivate, encourage and develop a professional, collaborative and multi-disciplined team, ensuring staff are challenged and motivated through objectives which are set and assessed on a regular basis and which support both the departmental and wider company goals
To build and maintain excellent working relationships with all key national and regional media, both in the UK and internationally
Draft and circulate regular updates to production companies we work with
Work flexibly across a range of genres and across all media in line with business needs and positively develop their understanding of the wider team
Deputise for the Managing Director in regard to all TV matters where required, and provide additional expertise/insight as appropriate
