Multitude Media was hired by Universal Pictures to implement a publicity strategy to support the home entertainment and digital download release of Fulwell 73’s documentary House of Flying Arrows, which explores the rise of darts in the UK. The strategy included a one day talent junket and exclusive screening at the Vue West End in Leicester Square in the lead up to release.
The documentary was among the best-selling DVDs and digitally downloaded titles in its release quarter, reaching number one in the Official UK DVD Chart. Substantial coverage in the October-December release window made the film one of the most talked-about releases of the year.
We were keen to ensure the title secured non-sport coverage alongside a wealth of activity with sports-focused titles. From a double page, first-run spread in The Guardian to profile coverage with the likes of the Daily Mirror, Daily Star, The Sun, Daily Telegraph and Metro, we were able to do this and more. Print activity was also complemented by broadcast coverage including Sky Sports News, talkSPORt, talkRADIO, Sunday Brunch and Soccer AM, and a range of online support which guaranteed the title reached as broad an audience as possible, whilst catering to the diehard darts fans.
